Summary of the causes of deep groove ball bearing damage

The deep groove ball bearing is meant to be held. As the name implies, the bearing is mainly used to install it on the shaft with special structure or materials, reduce the friction when the shaft is running, and help ensure the rotation accuracy of the shaft, as well as protect the shaft. The general damage of bearings can not be separated from the following reasons:

1. Material fatigue;

2. Poor lubrication;

3. Pollution;

4. Installation problems;

5. Improper handling;

1. The raceway surface and roller surface are full of dents

The particles on the cage and the raceway surface are worn, and the lubricating grease (agent and discoloration) are usually caused by unclean installation. During installation, keep it clean, use new lubricating grease, and check whether the seal is intact.

2. Wear caused by improper lubrication

The worn surface is mirror like, and the color is blue or brown. This situation is caused by insufficient lubrication. It should be the lubrication condition. Re determine the lubrication cycle and oil seal.

3. Dents caused by improper installation

The working surfaces of inner and outer rings have dents with a spacing equal to the distance between rollers. The reason is that it is not knocked on the correct ring during installation, or it is caused by excessive propulsion on the tapered shaft, or overload in static state.

4. Dents caused by foreign objects

The working surface and roller surface are full of dents, which may be caused by foreign matters or lubricant foreign matters brought in during installation and the surrounding environment. Clean the bearing installation, use clean lubricant and check the oil seal.

5. Scratches on roller end face

Friction between the roller end face and the guide flange produces nicks and discoloration. This condition is caused by sliding under excessive axial load or insufficient lubrication. Lubricants with high viscosity can be selected for such damage.

6. Abrasion of roller and raceway

There is abrasion and local discoloration between the roller and the starting end of the raceway load area, which is caused by the sudden acceleration of the roller when it enters the load area. There are two possible approaches; First, choose the lubricant with high viscosity; Second, reduce the bearing clearance.

7. Abrasion of external surface

The inner hole of the inner ring and the outer surface of the outer ring have nicks and local discoloration, which is caused by the relative movement between the ring and the shaft or bearing box. The only way to solve this problem is to increase the fit interference between the ring and the shaft or bearing box to prevent mutual rotation. Axial braking or clamping cannot solve these problems.

8. Surface pits

Small and shallow pits on the surface of raceway, rolling element or large section, showing crystalline damage. This is due to poor lubrication. For example, there is little oil or viscosity change caused by temperature rise, so that the oil film cannot separate the contact surface, and the surface has instant contact.

9. Fretting corrosion

The phenomenon occurs only when there is relative movement between the bearing ring and the shaft or bearing box. This is due to loose fit or bearing pedestal deformation.

10. Galvanic corrosion

There are dark brown or grayish black straight streaks or pockmarks on the rolling or rolling body surface. When the current passes through the bearing, the surface of the bearing parts will be welded.

Method: Prevent the current from flowing through the bearing.

11. Spalling at symmetrical position of rolling surface

In one of the two rings, the radial symmetrical position of the ring has obvious stress traces, and the skin peels off. This is due to deformation and elliptical compression of the bearing box, and the bearing box is remanufactured.

12. Spalling due to axial load

The force trace is obvious, and the skin of one side of the ring or one raceway of the double row bearing peels off.

reason:

a. Axial load caused by incorrect installation;

b. Prepressure transition;

c. The non fixed bearing is stuck or the axial displacement reserve is insufficient.

13. Peeling caused by impression

The surface of the raceway is peeled off, and there are marks equal to the spacing between rollers. This is caused by improper installation of the bearing in the static state of excessive load. Other fine marks may be foreign matters brought in during installation or foreign matters in lubricant.

14. Cracks caused by rough installation and knocking

This crack is a crack, usually only on one side. This is due to the impact force formed when the inner ring is transferred to the end face of the ferrule through the rolling element by savage knocking. Do not tap the bearing ring directly.

15. Cracks caused by excessive extrusion

The crack passes through the whole section. This is caused by the interference fit of the inner ring of the bearing is too large or it is pushed too far on the tapered shaft.

16. Cracks caused by fretting corrosion

On the inner ring, it is in the transverse direction, and on the outer ring, it is in the circumferential direction. It is caused by loose fitting or poor shape of bearing housing.

17. Spalling caused by fretting corrosion

The raceway surface of the bearing ring peels off. There is corrosion relative to the peeled outer surface here. It is caused by loose fitting or incorrect shape of bearing housing.
