Is the smaller the radial clearance of the bearing, the better?

Not all bearings require the minimum working clearance, you must select the appropriate clearance according to the conditions. According to the national standard 4604-93, the radial clearance of rolling bearing can be divided into five groups: group 2, group 0, group 3, group 4 and group 5. The clearance value is from small to large, and group 0 is the standard clearance.

The basic radial clearance group is suitable for general operation conditions, conventional temperature and commonly used interference fit; large radial clearance should be selected for bearings working under special conditions such as high temperature, high speed, low noise and low friction; small radial clearance should be selected for bearings for precision spindle and machine tool spindle; a small amount of working clearance can be maintained for roller bearings.

In addition, there is no clearance for the separated bearing; finally, the working clearance after the installation of the bearing is smaller than the original clearance before the installation, because the bearing must bear certain load rotation, as well as the elastic deformation generated by the bearing matching and load.
